Wind power
The wind energy is formed by the displacement of air masses whose temperatures are different. 1-2% of the energy reaching the earth from the sun is transformed into wind energy. Wind turbines convert the renewable air stream into electricity. Because the operation of wind turbines does not cause emissions of harmful gases to the environment, energy has a major role to play in our future and to prevent climate change. Unlike conventional power plants, it is a domestic and always available source of energy security that affects fuel costs and long-term fuel price risks and reduces dependence on other countries in terms of economic, political and procurement risks. However, wind turbines have some disadvantages, such as large area coverage, noise pollution, and quality problems of the produced electricity. The world wind resource is calculated as 53 TWh / year, and today the total wind energy installed power is 40.301 MW. A third of these are in Germany. In 2020, the investment required to reach the 1,245 GW world wind power target is 692 billion Euros. During this period, production costs are expected to fall from 3.79 E cents / kWh to 2.45 Euro cents / kWh. In wind turbines, the global market will increase from 8 billion euros to 80 billion euros annually until 2020. It is possible to make investments that can be economical at today's prices in regions with a total potential of at least 48,000 MW and an annual average of more than 7.5 m / s. With the Turkey Wind Energy Potential Atlas (REPA), which was realized in 2007, at least 5,000 MW in regions with an annual wind speed of more than 8,5 m / s and at least 48,000 MW in regions with an annual wind speed exceeding 7,5 m / s and wind energy Potential. As of 2004, the wind power board, which was only 18 MW, was stepping up. As of the end of 2009, our wind board power has reached 802.8 MW. After the enactment of the Renewable Energy Law, 93 new wind projects were licensed at an installed capacity of 3,363 MW. From these projects, the construction of power plants is continuing at an installed capacity of approximately 1,100 MW.
